We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Workday Functional Specialist to help provide operational support to the HR function as well as design, configure, and optimize Workday Human Capital Management functionality to align with global HR initiatives and business needs. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, performing system testing/UAT, creating reports, and leading functional support for bi-annual releases. Also looking for someone to assist as backup scrum master, with working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and ceremonies. The Workday Product Management function sits within HR Solutions and is responsible for maintaining, enhancing and leading the implementation of new or supporting functionality in Workday. The team works closely with the wider HR Solutions team, HR Technology, external vendors and our various stakeholders in all functions of HR to implement thoughtful processes and technology solutions that drive efficiency, focus on simplification and automation, and mitigate operational risk across HR globally.
In the Human Capital Management division, we provide advice and insight to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented global workforce, giving employees the support and tools, they need to succeed .This is an Associate level position within the HR Solutions team assisting with operational support, data analysis, Workday configuration, troubleshooting and backup Scrum Master responsibilities.

What you'll do in the role:
- Work with HR and it’s stakeholders to provide operational support in ongoing maintenance of Workday
- Liaise with HR Operations, HRES and outsourced HR Operations vendor to troubleshoot process and data issues and own end-to-end resolution and process improvements to remediate issues
- Improve data quality in Workday (identifying solutions to reoccurring issues and implement them)
- Serve as a functional SME for Workday HCM, advising HR Business Partners and other users on Workday as a system and help troubleshoot any issues arising through Business-as-Usual processes
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in coordination of testing of enhancements and new functionality, including the production of test plans and scripts, coordination of User Acceptance Testing, defect logging and resolution management.
- Fill in as Scrum Master to manage Agile Sprints for our Workday Solutions team, running all Agile ceremonies and managing stories on our team’s Jira board when our Primary Scrum Master is not available.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in an Operations/HRIS role supporting Workday functionality, HR business processes and systems.
- Ability to understand and improve global HR processes for large enterprise organization in the Financial Services industry
- Experience with understanding global HCM requirements and ensuring Workday processes work efficiently together to deliver operational efficiencies for a large global enterprise in the Financial Services industry
- Experience in handling and troubleshooting Workday business processes, data analysis, configuration and operations issues
- Experience with US Labor and Employment laws and how to maintain compliance using Workday Core HCM and Absence/Time-Off
- Excellent data manipulation and analytic skills using MS Excel
- Workday functional experience in the Core HCM and Absence.
- Strong HR domain knowledge and functional knowledge of Workday.
- Experience in handling and troubleshooting Workday business processes and configuration.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and skills.
- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
