Department Profile:
The Wealth Management Analytics & Data (A&D) organization is a key growth area within Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division, playing a critical role in the execution of the wider Wealth Management strategy. The team owns all the executive reporting, insights, and predictive modeling in support of Wealth Management business. The use of analytics and data will be a key driver in accelerating growth across client segments, enabling data-driven decision making and delivering the best client experience.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a high-energy and self-starter team member to help oversee the operations of a global team while getting exposure to WM leadership and the function of A&D. The candidate will work closely with A&D COO team in aspects like budgeting, recruiting, headcount, space management and team engagement. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and display proactivity and execution focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Oversee end-to-end headcount tracking for the global team (open roles, approvals, recruiting pipeline/status, start dates) and produce regular updates for leadership
- Support office space planning and seating needs across global locations in partnership with Real Estate/Workplace stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for expense report guidelines and monthly operating budgets; track actuals vs. budget and investigate variances
- Coordinate with Business Control Risk partners on applicable WM Analytics & Data policies/procedures, business continuity planning, and required governance documentation (e.g., GOC materials), ensuring deliverables are accurate and delivered on time
- Support team engagement and operating cadence (newsletters, town halls, all-hands, leadership updates), including content preparation, logistics, and follow-ups/actions.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; MBA preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in COO space or Business Management space (overall 3-5 years), preferably in the financial services industry
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in business administration, budget & vendor management
- Proven relationship-building and collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management
