What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance large-scale distributed software systems. Own all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) to build new features. Write high quality and maintainable code, and deploying and running services on Kubernetes. Collaborate with a global cross- functional agile team, and contribute to all agile ceremonies. Monitor, debug, and improve production systems. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study

-Requires two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation

-Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills:

  • Java EE, Spring boot, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, and SQL;
  • microservices architecture;
  • RESTful API design and development, Junit, Jasmine, and Git;
  • CI/CD Pipeline;
  • database analysis and design;
  • analyzing business requirements and defining the appropriate design with respect to data modeling, configuration, and customization of applications.

-Requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills:

  • Kubernetes;
  • all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, deployment, and debugging;
  • event-driven architecture;
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD), Kafka, Jenkins, and Team City;
  • Code quality analysis tools including SonarQube;
  • working on a global agile software development team;
  • AI Tools including GitHub Co-Pilot for software development.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $118,000 and $118,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
