We are looking for someone to join our team as a Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner, taking a leading role within the Business Infrastructure Office (BIO) organization, with responsibility for end‑to‑end process ownership and senior stakeholder management.
The Business Infrastructure Office (BIO) within FP&A provides centralized business management, reporting, and coordination across infrastructure functions. BIO partners closely with Finance, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Technology to support strong governance, scalability, and delivery of firmwide initiatives. The role operates in a complex, global, matrixed Finance environment and requires strong operational execution, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive change at scale.
Since 1935, Morgan Stanley has been a global leader in financial services, operating in more than 40 countries and continuously evolving to better serve our clients and communities.
What you’ll do in the role
Own and deliver end‑to‑end infrastructure cost transparency across business segments, providing clear, actionable insights into total infrastructure spend and cost drivers.
Develop and oversee high‑quality, decision‑relevant reporting supporting senior management, governance forums, and firmwide initiatives.
Act as a key FP&A partner to Company functions (Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Administration, and senior Company Management), as well as Company FP&A and Technology FP&A teams, ensuring alignment, consistency, and accuracy across reporting frameworks.
Translate complex financial and operational data into concise, compelling narratives enabling effective senior‑level decision‑making.
Assess existing reporting and coordination processes from an end‑to‑end perspective, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and scalability constraints.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across BIO operations, with a strong focus on simplification, standardization, and control enhancement.
Lead the adoption of automation and AI‑enabled solutions to improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and increase speed and reliability of reporting.
Establish and embed best practices to ensure BIO processes remain scalable, resilient, and fit for purpose.
Serve as a senior point of contact for a broad set of global stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Technology.
Manage competing priorities in a complex matrix environment while balancing local, regional, and global requirements.
Communicate clearly and confidently with senior leadership, including proactive escalation of risks, issues, and dependencies.
Ensure stability, control, and consistent performance during high‑pressure periods such as month‑end close, planning, and forecasting cycles.
What you’ll bring to the role
6–8 years of relevant Finance / Accounting experience.
Proven track record in month‑end close and reporting leadership.
Experience with automation, AI, and workflow tools.
Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capability.
Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into concise insights for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset.
