We're seeking someone to join our MSESE FP&A team as a Director (AVP-Equivalent) in Finance to drive entity forecasting, stress testing, and financial planning processes while supporting senior management decision-making through analysis, coordination, and clear narrative.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.
This is a Director level position (AVP-Equivalent) within the Finance organization supporting Financial Planning & Analysis activities for Morgan Stanley Europe SE (MSESE), including budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and stress-testing.

What you'll do in the role
- Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across the Firm, including significant interaction with senior US/MSBNA stakeholders and MSESE management
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables across entity FP&A forecasting outcomes, including Budgeting, Forecasting and Performance Analysis
- Proactively identify emerging risks across deliverables and processes and drive mitigants through governance, controls and process improvements
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
- Coordinate the MSESE forecasting cycle (including Quarterly and Annual Stress Tests - QST/AST), managing timelines, challenging assumptions, and rationalising outputs into a coherent narrative with clear documentation
- Drive alignment of assumptions across ISG Finance, Treasury, Regulatory Controllers and LIFC, spanning P&L, Balance Sheet, RWA, Funding and Capital
- Partner with US stakeholders to deliver projections into MSBNA processes (QST/AST, Budget and Strategic/Long Term Plans), including presenting and explaining results
- Deliver regulatory reporting template requirements for forecasting outputs, manage requirement changes with upstream providers and stakeholders (including CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP), and develop new internal reporting
- Partner with model owners/developers to define requirements and prioritisation across Finance, Risk and Technology, challenge model outputs and articulate results credibly to stakeholders
- Prepare responses and materials for senior management and regulatory requests, including ad hoc requests with quick turnaround and preparation for regulatory meetings
What you'll bring to the role
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional areas including forecasting, performance analysis, and regulatory / stress testing processes
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related fields; additional qualifications preferred (Chartered Accountant, CFA, Master's)
- Experience in Financial Services, ideally within forecasting, performance analysis, or regulatory / stress testing processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex deliverables end-to-end, including timelines, dependency management and quality control
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and present complex outputs to senior audiences
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to work across P&L and balance sheet concepts (RWA/capital/funding exposure is a plus)
- Experience partnering with Technology/model owners to define requirements and implement improvements in controlled environments
- High self-motivation with a track record of improving processes, strengthening documentation and controls, and delivering in a fast-paced environment
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
