IED Non-Market Risk (NMR), Business Control Unit (BCU) - Senior Associate / Vice President- Non-Japan Asia

About the Role
The BCU NMR team is looking for a Senior Associate-level candidate to support Asia IED (Institutional Equities Division) in the 1st Line of Defense, covering Prime Brokerage, Cash Equities and Derivatives for Non-Market Risk. This role is based in Hong Kong and focuses on IED's business across Asia Pacific, excluding Japan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform first-line non-market risk management across Cash Equities, Prime Brokerage and Derivatives, covering regulatory, operational, conduct, technology and franchise / reputational risk.
2. Drive governance oversight across key forums and business-aligned processes, including committee participation, escalation management, and ownership of a portfolio of activities such as client risk reviews, governance and information security-related work, and day-to-day engagement with stakeholders on risk-related matters.
3. Lead project management and delivery of risk and control initiatives, including process enhancements and strategic business initiatives.
4. Drive risk oversight across core processes, including incident management, control design & enhancement, monitoring of key risk indicators and supervisory frameworks, and contributing to broader control and review activities as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements
· The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of experience in risk, controls, or front-office aligned roles within Equities, Prime Brokerage or related markets businesses
· Strong understanding of Asia markets and regulatory environment
· Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment
· Demonstrated ownership mindset, with ability to manage responsibilities independently and drive outcomes
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across varying level of seniority.
· Strong analytical and presentation skills, with an attention to detail.
· Project management experience, with a track record of delivery on projects.
· A university degree in a relevant subject.
