We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President to join IM Operations to provide senior execution ownership, team oversight, and escalation management across the fixed income trade lifecycle. The role will focus on strengthening controls, service quality, and operational resilience while supporting MSIM Fixed Income trading desks and investment teams. The Fixed Income Trade Support team is responsible for accurate trade confirmation, timely settlement, and effective resolution of trade-related issues across global fixed income markets.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls, and develop strong client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Vice President level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post-execution processes.

What you’ll Do in the role:-
- Provide senior-level functional support to MSIM Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Portfolio Administrators through the Trade Management System, Aladdin.
- Own and oversee end-to-end fixed income trade confirmation and settlement across global markets.
- Monitor trade flows from Aladdin to Middle Office teams and Custodians to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead trade affirmation and confirmation processes using DTCC CTM, ALERT, and custodian platforms.
- Drive prematching, settlement oversight, and fails management to minimize settlement risk.
- Act as a senior escalation point for unconfirmed trades, settlement discrepancies, and aged fails.
- Manage and mentor a trade support team, including work allocation, review, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Partner with Brokers, Custodians, and Clearing Agents to resolve complex trade and settlement issues.
- Ensure adherence to MSIM operational controls, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Operate in a mandatory night shift aligned to US and EMEA market coverage.
- Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts
- Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions.
- Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution.
- Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations.
What you’ll bring to the role: -
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams is required.
- Strong practical knowledge of fixed income securities, settlement conventions, and market practices.
- Hands-on expertise in trade confirmation, prematching, settlement processing, and fails management.
- Strong working knowledge of DTCC CTM and ALERT.
- Experience working with custodian banks and agent banks.
- Working knowledge of BRS Aladdin is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with trading desks and senior stakeholders.
- Experience operating in a global or night-shift operating model.
- Front-to-back knowledge of relevant processes, projects, systems, markets, and instruments, with a comprehensive understanding of operational and compliance policies and procedures.
- Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget.
- Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise.

- At least 12+ years of relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
