We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Client Onboarding Associate to support the onboarding, regulatory due diligence, and client data management processes for Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets businesses across the Asia Pacific region.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo. This is a Client Onboarding Associate, P2, Core Services position within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products. What you'll do in the role:
Perform client due diligence reviews in support of new client onboarding and periodic refresh activities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and Firm policies.
Review and validate KYC documentation and client information to ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and eligibility requirements.
Maintain and update Firm systems and databases with client information, documentation and review outcomes.
Partner with Business Units, Compliance, Operations and onboarding teams throughout the lifecycle of client onboarding and review activities.
Respond to inquiries and ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams, including high-volume periods, escalations and project-related deliverables.
Support process improvement initiatives, technology enhancements and operational efficiency efforts.
Perform quality assurance and control activities, including four-eye checks, error analysis and root cause identification.
Assist with internal audits, testing activities and external reviews through process walkthroughs and preparation of supporting documentation.
Deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, quality and timeliness while meeting established productivity expectations.
What you'll bring to the role:
Ability to perform detailed investigative research and analyze client information with strong attention to detail.
Experience in AML, KYC, customer due diligence, regulatory compliance processes and associated operational controls.
Understanding of global KYC, CIP and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions including Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia.
Ability to build effective working relationships with Business Units, Compliance teams and global stakeholders across multiple regions.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to identify operational risks, troubleshoot issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, accountability, responsiveness and ownership.
Ability to quickly learn and apply policies, procedures, systems, controls and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
