Job Summary

As a Commercial Solutions Engineer (SE) at NetApp, you will be the sole technical lead for a high-volume commercial district, supporting a team of Commercial Account Managers (CAMs). You’ll work closely with channel partners and CAMs to design and position NetApp solutions that drive customer success and business outcomes
This role is based in Atlanta, GA and requires candidates based in territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for all commercial accounts in the district, supporting multiple Commercial Account Managers (CAMs).
- Collaborate with CAMs and channel partners to drive demand, deliver technical enablement, and support joint sales motions.
- Translate customer business and technical requirements into NetApp solutions that are scalable, cost-effective, and easy to deploy.
- Lead product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proof-of-concepts to showcase NetApp’s value.
- Manage a high volume of transactional opportunities, balancing responsiveness with strategic guidance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure long-term success.
- Stay current on NetApp’s portfolio and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations and insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate their data infrastructure journey.
Job Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role.
- Strong understanding of data storage, cloud, virtualization, and data protection technologies.
- Experience working in a channel-led sales model is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to support multiple sales reps and manage competing priorities independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a passion for learning and solving customer challenges.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Education
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 193,800 - 250,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
