We're looking for an Assistant, Production Management to support the team dedicated to the Stand Up Comedy & Formats Production. The primary focus of the role will be to support the administrative and operational needs of a small but incredibly agile production team. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to pivot when necessary. You'll need to be thorough and capable of juggling multiple, diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. A passion for stand up, comedy and live events is ideal.

Specific responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and update scheduling needs for the broader team for both internal and external meetings. This includes production kickoffs.

  • Support external partners with onboarding to internal systems and training on the Netflix tools.

  • Coordinate document distribution and production information flow, with an emphasis on updating, maintaining, and championing the use of Netflix tools and databases internally.

  • Coordinate department activities (offsites, team building activities, etc) as well as social events for both internal & external groups when requested

  • ​​Collaborate with our cross functional partners to help ensure alignment across projects

  • Become proficient in the Netflix tools for both internal and external systems, working on improvements and new efficiency opportunities to benefit the team’s productivity

  • Support leaders in preparing presentations using Google Slides, team documents, etc.

  • Assist with guest and executive event requests, such as coordinating travel and ticketing.

  • Help coordinate and organize internal and external RSVP asks for live events on the slate

  • Take detailed notes on agendas live in meetings and circulate information to the greater team; memorialize decision-making and track next steps.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements (domestic and international) and related administrative duties (e.g., processing travel and expense reports, tracking travel visa needs, digital and physical filing, etc.) for the team as needed.

  • Continually gain knowledge from internal resources on production specific topics i.e. budgeting, labor rules, crew roles and responsibilities, tax incentives, production technologies, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years as a production coordinator or APOC on shows or productions or as an assistant in the entertainment industry, preferably on a physical production desk or a related area at a studio, network, or agency.

  • Passion and interest in the production management space, as well as comedy/stand-up and live events.

  • Innate sense of timing to maintain the pace required to meet tight and ever-changing deadlines.

  • Team player with a positive attitude who can operate in a fast-paced setting.

  • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.

  • Understanding of how to prioritize various tasks and respond accordingly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite strongly preferred.

  • Curiosity, openness to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $50,000 - $235,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy. Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here.
