Description
NYU College of Dentistiy is seeking applications for a modified full time, clinical non-tenure track position at the level of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology & Medicine. This diverse department supports faculty from various specialties in a collegial and scholarly environment.
Responsibilities include patient care in a new state of the mi facility, teaching in the predoctoral and postgraduate didactic and clinical programs, scholarly activity that advances knowledge in the area of oral medicine and/or special needs dentistry, clinical consultations and clinical supervision in the College's Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities. Candidates at the Associate Professor level will be expected to have a record of research accomplishments including extramural funding. NYUCD offers opportunities to participate in a mullidisciplinary clinical research center as well as an expanding basic science research program in oral cancer, biomaterials/tissue engineering and chronic oral diseases. Opportunity to participate in the NYUCD faculty practice may also be available.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess a DDS/DMD degree, advanced training and experience in Special Needs Dentistry or hospital dentistry. Certification by either the American Board of Oral Medicine or American Board of Special Care Dentistry and demonstrated excellence in treating patients with specialized healthcare needs (including developmental and physical disability and medical complexity) are preferred. Candidates must be eligible for a New York State dental license. Experience treating patients with complex medical risks and/or graduate education in dental oncology preferred.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $90K - $110K.
