Description

The Department of Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting at NYU College of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for a 12-month full-time (5 days a week) faculty position on the non-tenure clinical track. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, committee involvement, research and other scholarly activities, and administrative responsiblities.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100K - $160K. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications

Must possess a MS or MA degree or higher in Dental Hygiene or related field from a school accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in dental hygiene education, and current NY State Dental Hygiene License. Current NY state certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation-preferred, but not required.

Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain a broad knowledge of evidence-based research in teaching. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with technology, and has experience managing administrative, educational and research projects in academic settings.
