The Payne lab at NYU's Center for Neural Science is looking for a postdoctoral associate to work on the following:

- Design, perform, analyze, write up, and publish experiments investigating the neural mechanisms of episodic memory and visual perception in food-catching birds. The experiments will involve a combination of behavioral, anatomical, and electrophysiological studies. Techniques include high-channel electrophysiology and viral-vector mediated causal manipulation of neural activity in awake-behaving animals.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $62,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

PhD in neuroscience or in related field.
