You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge trading technologies, including network design and deployment within co-location data centers.
The team designs, implements and operates co-located trading infrastructure and exchange connectivity that must deliver reliable, deterministic performance at microsecond/nanosecond levels and process large volumes of real-time data. You will be a core team member and will work closely with FPGA/Verilog/Java application developers, network engineers and trading desk stakeholders to deliver market-leading DMA co-lo solutions.
Ultra-Low Latency High-Frequency DMA is a key component of Nomura’s Electronic Trading franchise. This development role is embedded within our Tokyo-based team delivering cutting edge DMA co-location solutions.
| | | 2) Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team the successful candidate will:
・Design, develop and maintain high performance ultra low latency C/Linux applications.
・Enhance existing exchange connectivity and core application framework.
・Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis & design, data analysis & mapping, development and testing.
・Provide level 2 and 3 support.
・Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards.
・Build and maintain own expertise needed to provide proper technology to the business.
Key Objectives
・Handle implementation, maintenance and enhancements of a number of new and existing SPB DMA applications.
・Provide support to the execution services business by developing cutting edge solutions allowing us to maintain market leadership.
・Provide necessary training and tools to the support team and provide L2 & L3 application support. | |

Requirements | | Requirements: | | Technical (mandatory) | - Very strong C knowledge and intensive practice using Linux.
- Experience with extremely low latency and highly optimized development using server side processing and network communication with reliable and predictable performance.
- Familiarity with medium scale development & integration projects.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix power tools, regression testing automation, pcap, and networking.
- Network protocols, TCP/IP stack, Kernel bypass technologies.
| | Technical (preferred) | - Good knowledge of Asian Equities markets protocols and specifics.
- Good knowledge of Equity Trading systems, DMA and FO STP technology.
- Proficient in FIX protocol an advantage.
