Function Overview
Chief Transformation Office (CTO) is a newly established Business Unit to own the end-to-end delivery for Nomura Wholesale across Technology and Operations for the strategically important, large complex initiatives, plus management of the overall Change the Bank Portfolio. The function brings together Project Managers and Business Analysts across Technology and Operations in a single centralised team that will:
- Drive Efficiencies and create greater resource fungibility.
- Improve plan execution quality through rigor and pragmatic standards.
- Protect Nomura given increased execution / investment scrutiny.
CTO manages the Global Trade & Transaction Reporting and Operations Transformations portfolio of projects. The Powai CTO Project Manager / Business Analyst is responsible for delivering Post Trade Regulatory Reporting and Control framework projects globally. The successful candidate must ensure projects for which they are accountable have gone through detailed feasibility and ensure delivery to cost, time and scope once planned. The CTO function will require; strong stakeholder management, clear and concise communication style, experience of waterfall and agile project methodologies, an analytical mind, ability to document detailed requirements, translation of requirements into functional design, experience of system and user testing, can matrix manage and influence virtual teams and drive a collaborative approach in delivering solutions. Knowledge of the industry’s regulatory rules and products will be critical factors for success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the implementation of regulatory projects to achieve the target goals and deliver high quality work within committed timeframes.
- Ensure proper project management methodologies and governance is followed
- Strong senior stakeholder management. Ability to lead global working groups and present in Steering committee is essential.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Manage & coordinate all activities of the project.
- Maintain overall project plan and manage risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Interpret Regulatory / Industry / Market rules.
- Document detailed Business Requirements including Controls.
- In conjunction with Design Authority’s, ensure Technical solutions can support Business Requirements while ensuring that Technical strategies are adhered.
- Manage User Acceptance Testing and obtain UAT sign-off.
- Manage Business Readiness and transfer of ownership from Project Team to BAU.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Job Requirements:
- 5-7 years’ experience in the area of change/ project management/ business analysis
- Experience and knowledge in Trade and Transaction Reporting Rewrites/Refits is mandatory. E.g. CFTC Rewrite, EMIR Refit
- Experience implementing controls covering completeness, accuracy, timeliness highly desired
- Experience of waterfall and agile project methodologies. PMP credential is a plus.
- Excellent communication skill in English, and ability to articulate clearly to influence outcomes
- Adapts effectively to changing plans and priorities
- Strong business analytical skills and ability to present key findings
- Ability to work with a diverse set of individuals across levels.
- Ability to manage and perform effectively in a team environment.
