Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
Nomura is seeking a Junior Project Management Professional / Project Coordinator to support senior Project Managers and leadership teams in the successful delivery of projects. The role involves planning, coordinating and executing project activities to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining and updating project documentation, facilitating effective communication across cross‑functional teams, identifying and managing risks and dependencies and coordinating resources to support project objectives.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong organizational and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated proficiency with project management tools. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a collaborative mindset to support complex, fast‑paced initiatives.
This role is based in Mumbai, India and forms part of Nomura Services India Private Limited, supporting global project delivery initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
- Experience: Overall, 5 to 8 years of IT Infra Project Management
- Methodologies: Strong proficiency in Project Management methodologies such as Agile, or Waterfall project management.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE or Agile-related certifications are highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation skills
- MIS Reporting with strong hand’s on XLS, Power Point to create multiple report
- Having Infra related Disaster Recovery Knowledge or DR co-ordination activities
- Candidates should have an IT infrastructure background with experience delivering technical/ infrastructure-led projects.
Common Tools:
- Project Management Software: JIRA, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Documentation/ Collaboration: Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Project Delivery: Deliver IT projects to agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Planning & Control: Maintain project plans, WBS, RAID and change control.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the key interface between IT and business teams.
- Governance & Reporting: Ensure PMO compliance with clear, executive‑level reporting.
- Execution & Documentation: Drive actions to closure and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
