Divisional Overview:
JBS, Japan Business Services, supports IT application requirements for multiple business lines like Wealth Management, Investment Banking etc. Wealth Management business specializes in providing personalized services to high-net-worth individuals, while Investment Banking business works with corporate clients on their requirements for M&A. These business cater to the needs of our clients by delivering bespoke solutions that leverage our global markets, investment banking, research, trust service and asset management expertise.
Key Support activities of Wealth Management include:
- Middle Office Support
- Reference Data
- Settlement
- Onboarding
- KYC
- Regulatory reporting
- Confirmation preparation and sending
- Statement processing
Business Overview:
A successful candidate will join the JBS IT team, which manages multiple applications across Wealth Management business, Investment Banking business in Japan. This role involves collaboration with Japan based WM IT, JBS-IT, Program management team to deliver strategic technical solutions and maintenance of existing systems. Candidate will be part of the Powai JBS IT team. The position interfaces with diverse stakeholders and requires strong communication skills (Japanese language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory).

Role & Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse complex business requirements from business and document functional and non-functional requirements which include documents like detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specification documents (FSDs)
- Lead the process of requirement gathering, designing and delivering the technical solutions while ensuring alignment with development and business objectives. Own technical implementation of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including implementation and release management.
- Well versed in Agile way of working with experience in Sprint Planning, Execution etc.
- Lead tech team for the UAT, PROD release processes by collaborating with the QA team and regional operations teams (including Japan) to ensure all releases meet quality standards.
- Foster strong collaboration and communication across global development, QA and support teams. Engage with cross-functional IT teams to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment on goals.
- Actively participate in firm-wide strategic initiatives, contributing technical expertise and insights to support organizational objectives.
- Enhance and support the JBS IT frameworks, ensuring they are robust and scalable to meet evolving business demands
Position Specifications:
Experience -15 Years
Qualification -Graduate/postgraduate
Mandatory Skill Set :
- Should have 15 plus years of experience of business analysis in financial market with ability to drive development by guiding developers about business requirements.
- Strong understanding of various financial products like Rates, Credit, FX and Equity along with front to back lifecycle of trades including front office, middle office and back office.
- Ability to organize requirements and break it into small deliverables by a developer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to understand and articulate requirements accurately.
- Experience in Tools like Jira, Gitlab is expected.
- Good knowledge of Regulatory reporting is optional

- A committed team player who possesses strong technical skills along with good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work with people across different departments, countries and regions.
- Good communication skills (clear and concise).
- Ability to think logically and systematically to devise solutions along with the team

- Ownership of technical deliverables for assigned areas.
- Japanese language and culture exposure is preferred but not mandatory
