職務内容 Job Description | Job/Group Overview: Join Nomura’s Special Infrastructure team as Linux System Administrator supporting the Equity business unit. In this role you will provide dedicated production support for mission critical Linux systems, ensuring high availability, performance and security. You will monitor and troubleshoot systems, manage deployments and patches, automate operational tasks, and work closely with infrastructure, application and business teams to resolve incidents and drive continuous improvement. | | | Responsibilities: Provide in-depth, focused support for COLO/DMZ production infrastructure used for high-frequency, low-latency trading by Japan’s #1 broker, Nomura. | - Collaborate closely with High Frequency Trading Systems development, project managers, and support teams. Deliver creative solutions and implement them within short, aggressive timeframes. Lead knowledge acquisition and apply that expertise to help Nomura retain its #1 position on all Japan exchanges.
- Engage confidently and directly with the High Frequency Trading desk on a variety of client-related needs. Occasionally required to join client calls to communicate with clients and translate their requirements into practical designs and solutions for the COLO data center.
- Participate in, and lead when required, new exchange connectivity build-out projects. Though infrequent, these projects require focused execution under tight deadlines.
- Operate independently and with team members across diverse locations, including Greater Asia, Europe, and the USA.
- Take responsibility for systems availability and smooth operations, including troubleshooting, incident investigation, emergency escalation, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform system administration tasks such as software installation and configuration, patching, system monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery drills.
- Work with the Cross Platform Engineering team to deliver solutions: define operational requirements, negotiate schedules, and drive the implementation of engineered solutions.
- Execute system changes following company policies and change management procedures: collect requirements, propose changes, assess impacts, conduct non-production testing, present at Change Management meetings, obtain approvals, deploy to production, and perform post-change validation.
- Understand, negotiate, and address IT security, audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Ensure systems and services adhere to approved standards.
- Submit and track support cases, and drive vendors to provide solutions, fixes, and reports.
- Create and maintain technical documentation of system architecture, operational procedures, and runbooks.

- Solid experience in latency optimization, capacity planning, and computational tuning of RHEL on bare metal.
- Scripting experience in one or more of: shell, Python, Perl, Ansible.
- Practical experience with UNIX core services (e.g., LDAP authentication, Kerberos, Ansible Tower).
- Understanding and experience with DevOps and telemetry tools.
- More than 5 years’ UNIX support experience.

- Familiarity with high-performance networking hardware/software stacks such as Solarflare, Onload, PTP, or similar.

- Familiarity with DNS/DHCP and Bluecat management software or comparable tools.
- Good knowledge of network firewalls.
