職務内容 Job Description | Job/Group Overview: The Middle Office, as part of the Operations division, works daily and closely with the front office, the back office, and overseas offices. It functions like the hub of a wheel, serving as the focal point for the company’s information and processes. Specifically, its primary role is to ensure trades agreed by the front office are reflected in the company’s systems quickly and accurately, thereby maintaining a sound control environment. In addition to being a trusted business partner to the front office, the Middle Office also acts as a check from a risk-management perspective by providing appropriate advice when necessary, helping to maximize the business’s competitive strength. | | | Responsibilities: The CMT (Governance & Control) function provides critical leadership within the Middle Office by taking a cross-business-line perspective and partnering with management. We coordinate high impact, cross functional projects, monitor progress on regulatory responses and policy changes, and report to management to ensure department level issues are clearly visible. We also chair a monthly governance call to review approval status for new business initiatives and prepare KRI/KPI reports to strengthen governance and controls across the department. | - Oversee and drive progress on projects that span multiple middle office functions, and report status to senior management.
- Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) across business lines and coordinate with IT and project management to advance transformation initiatives.
- Prepare documentation and materials for the monthly governance call covering department wide matters.
- Review the NEPAL platform (new business approval process) to identify items requiring Middle Office approval, confirm deadlines, and flag any asset class cases that do not fall under a specific business line.
- Liaise with overseas counterparts to confirm risk incidents impacting the Middle Office and prepare materials for board reporting.
- Support the manager on ad hoc projects and escalate issues promptly when required.
- Participate in on the job and formal training to deepen knowledge of Nomura’s businesses and build the capabilities necessary for a successful long term career (including opportunities to learn programming/DX skills).

登録資格 Requirements | | Requirements: | - At least 2-3 years’ experience in operations or similar middle office role within a financial institutions, ideally this will include good understanding of the end to end trade lifecycle and the associated processes and cross product exposure.
- Experience participating in projects and user acceptance testing (UAT), particularly for system enhancements.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and inquisitive, with strong attention to detail, the ability to multi task, and a desire to acquire new skills (e.g., programming or digital transformation competencies).
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
