Department Overview:

As a member of the Investment Banking Division’s Consumer & Retail group, you will be working with managing directors, executive directors, associates, and analysts on servicing and executing client transactions. As a Senior Associate / Vice President, specific responsibilities of your role will include:

Role Description:

  • Developing and leading a coverage effort across selected Specialty Finance sub-sectors
  • Execution of M&A transactions – responsible for business and valuation analysis, financial modelling, investor outreach and coordination of negotiations between parties
  • Preparing new business presentations and information memorandums for clients
  • Development, training, and mentoring of new associates and analysts

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Outstanding academic qualifications: MBA or other relevant graduate degree desirable, but not required
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of investment banking M&A experience
  • Bulge bracket training program or Big 4 a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • SIE, Series 63, and 79 is required, or willingness to sit for the exams required

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
