Department Overview:

The EMEA Flow Products Middle Office team sits within the EMEA GMO function, part of Global Operations.

EMEA GMO comprises middle office teams controlling and supporting key Nomura businesses trading in flow and structured products across all asset classes.

Global Operations has teams in Asia, EMEA, India, Japan & US covering Client Services, Collateral Management, Middle Office, Shared Services, Regulatory Reporting and Wealth Management.

Role Description:

The Head of EMEA Flow Products Middle Office will report directly to the Head of EMEA GMO. They will assume direct management responsibility and oversight for Flow Credit, Flow Rates, Portfolio Optimisation, Equity, FX & EM, Treasury, DCM & Cash middle offices, directly managing the day-to-day operations for the London based teams, with oversight for Mumbai based trade support teams. In addition, they will support governance and control for all cross-border activity into EMEA entities managed by regional GMO teams.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver operational efficiency and process improvement whilst managing complex operational issues, escalating effectively. Ensuring control framework adherence and compliance with functional policies and jurisdictional regulation.

Manage, lead and develop the existing team, as well as individuals within, driving the team perform to a high level and helping members reach their full potential.

Maintain and strengthen relationships across Front Office, Operations, Finance Risk and Legal functions. This position will also play a key part in the wider GMO management team, contributing to strategic agenda-setting and cross-regional initiatives.

Experience

    • Professional certifications (CFA, FRM or equivalent)
