Role Purpose: The Global Head of Finance Transformation and Tokyo Transformation Lead is responsible for driving the strategic transformation agenda across Nomura's global Finance function. The role is accountable for the Finance change portfolio, ensuring effective delivery of Finance sponsored investments, strengthening organisational capability, modernising Finance operating models, and driving measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior Finance leadership globally to translate strategic priorities into executable roadmaps and tangible results. Working in partnership with the Head of Transformation Strategy, the role will help shape the future direction of the Finance function, ensuring transformation investments are aligned to long term business objectives, regulatory requirements, operational efficiency goals, and emerging technology opportunities. In parallel, the role serves as the most senior International Change leader based in Tokyo, acting as a key representative of the Head of International Change and strengthening connectivity between Japan and International transformation agendas. Role Overview: This highly visible Executive Director level role leads the global Finance Transformation function within International Change. The role operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with Finance Management, Technology, Corporate Functions, and the broader Chief Transformation Office to drive transformational change across the Finance organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the portfolio of Finance transformation investments, overseeing mission critical programmes, driving business case development and benefits realisation, and ensuring robust governance of Finance sponsored initiatives. The role will work in close partnership with the Head of Transformation Strategy to align strategic priorities, develop transformation roadmaps, shape future operating models, and ensure Finance investments are targeted at the highest value opportunities. As the senior International Change representative in Tokyo, the individual will play a critical leadership role in strengthening alignment between Japan and International transformation priorities. The role requires extensive engagement with senior executives across Finance, Corporate Functions, Technology, and the CTO organization to drive collaboration, accelerate decision making, and support the firm's broader transformation objectives.
