Divisional Overview:
Chief Transformation Office (CTO) provides project management and business analysis support
across Nomura’s wholesale banking functions. It is a cross regional and divisional transformation
team delivering ‘initiatives’ related to new regulations, implementing new infrastructure, business
expansion, product roll outs and introducing banking controls.

The CIO function oversees group-wide technology and our data office. We’re aligned to our key businesses across the group and operate enterprise-wide functions for risk management, governance and controls, supply chain and infrastructure. Our purpose is to support Nomura’s business strategy and deliver consistent group-wide services based on common operating principles.

Role & Responsibilities:

| | The Global Chief Information Office “GCIO” Portfolio Manager will coordinate Investment Spend and execution governance for our Technology sponsored portfolio of change initiatives, including Cyber & Resiliency uplift, Globalisation & Standardisation integration initiatives, GCIO strategy and AI enablement. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with a variety of senior Program Managers, initiative Sponsors, and Technology leadership involved in GCIO Investment Spend governance. You will also play a critical role in defining and streamlining management reporting and associated decision-making, ensuring a cohesive narrative on the strategy and cost/benefit profile for initiatives within this portfolio. Key responsibilities: - Drive annual budget and monthly forecast processes for this portfolio, outlining trends, areas of concern and prioritization decisions for management attention
- Assist the GCIO Portfolio lead to drive the governance and execution strategy for this complex, group-wide portfolio of transformation initiatives
- Collate inputs for reporting to various monthly / quarterly senior management forums for Technology sponsored change
- Assess Execution Risk across the GCIO change portfolio to inform priority areas of focus for the Leadership team
- Support new Business Case development, and ensure Business Cases remain current for this portfolio
- Monitor and track adherence to common project management standards for Technology sponsored change, including oversight of the Change Control process
- Maintain an auditable document repository for Technology sponsored change, liaising with internal Audit for relevant queries
- Engage with Artificial Intelligence (AI) working groups to identify opportunities to automate reporting in this space
