Our firm has embarked the journey to radically standardize IT infrastructure platform for Group and strengthening its support structure in a hurry. We are looking for a Database Administration, primarily specialized in of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle to design, build and operate our mission critical Database platform. In our organization, we have infrastructure architects and engineers with diverse expertise across the globe. We are actively looking for individuals who are eager to excel their skills as infrastructure database engineer through not only day-to-day activities but also various strategic projects, such as transforming our platform to a Hybrid Cloud environment, Automation and shifting to Infrastructure-as-a-Code, collaborating with colleagues in overseas.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Group Technology team in Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our critical multi-platform database estate. You will act as an Database Administration, driving performance tuning, architectural resilience, and modern DevOps automation practices across Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, AWS-RDS systems (On Prem and Cloud)

- Technical Support: Provide advanced support to diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues, deadlocks, blocking, and application integration challenges.
- Performance Tuning: Proactively optimize queries, index strategies, and database configurations. Partner with application development teams to improve query efficiency and resource utilization.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and test comprehensive backup schedules, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and high-availability (HA) solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication, clustering, and virtualized database environments).
- Database Automation (DevOps): Eliminate manual tasks by automating database provisioning, patching, and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Version Control: Maintain version-controlled database schemas, migration scripts, and automation code in Git repositories to ensure seamless change tracking and team collaboration.
- Monitoring & Observability: Build automated alerting networks and self-healing mechanisms to improve system reliability. Construct reporting dashboards to track database health, capacity trends, and performance KPIs.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust access controls, encryption, data masking, and regular security patching to safeguard sensitive corporate and user data.

Requirements | Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:
・Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a DBA managing enterprise-scale, production relational databases.
・Database Expertise:
- Strong administrative proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (up to 2022/2025).
- Robust experience with Oracle Database (19c), including architecture and troubleshooting.
- Practical administration knowledge of MySQL (8.x) production environments.
- Administration on AWS, RDS
・Operating Systems: Proficient in both Linux (RHEL X) command-line administration and Windows Server environments.
・Automation Tools: Proven track record utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for automation.
・Tools & Platforms: Native experience with Git for version control; familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) or virtualized setups (VMware) is highly preferred.
