Job Overview:
Lead a high-performing research team in Mexico City to deliver timely, high-quality insights for consulting cases, proposals, and knowledge initiatives across the Americas. Manage a team of 10–15, collaborate globally, and report to the Regional Research Head while driving standards, rigor, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team leadership and development: Lead 10–15 researchers; set goals, coach, manage performance/compensation; foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Hiring and workforce planning: Partner with Recruiting; maintain skills matrix; plan rotations and targeted upskilling.
Service delivery and research excellence: Run intake/scoping; ensure rigorous methods, sourcing, synthesis, and reusable knowledge capture.
Stakeholder engagement and impact: Advise case/practice leaders; support rapid-turn BD; align priorities to Americas demand.
Operations and metrics: Manage queues, prioritization, handoffs, time‑zone coverage; track SLAs, cycle times, and client satisfaction.
Risk Management: Enforce licensing, client confidentiality, and vendor policies; train safe, policy‑aligned genAI with QA guardrails.
Tools and enablement: Evaluate and improve platforms and knowledge systems; drive onboarding/training; influence enhancements; share global best practices.
Experience Required
Team management: 5+ years in business research/knowledge services; 3+ years leading research teams in consulting or professional services.
Consulting support: track record translating ambiguous asks into structured research plans that drive case and proposal impact.
Global collaboration: success operating in matrixed, cross-border teams; prioritize Americas-centric support and timelines.
Tools and data sources: hands-on proficiency with secondary research databases (e.g., Factiva, LSEG Refinitiv, S&P Capital IQ Pro, Euromonitor or similar).
Technical proficiency: critical requirement—advanced Excel and PowerPoint; beneficial—applied experience with AI in research workflows.
