Job Overview:
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data-driven initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our data systems and solutions. Strong experience with Databricks and solid coding skills in SQL and Python are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for efficient data collection, transformation, and delivery adhering to business requirements.
Implement systems and processes to monitor and ensure data quality and integrity across production data sources.
Design data integrations and data quality frameworks while applying data governance principles.
Partner with business units and engineering teams to define long-term data platform architecture strategies.
Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to support team knowledge sharing and system maintenance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers and other stakeholders as needed.
Experience Required:
Bachelors / MS in a quantitative discipline e.g., applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, information systems or related field
2+ years of experience in experience in data engineering, software development, or related roles.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and other ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, or Knime.
2+ years of SQL/PLSQL development experience
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
Proficiency with languages like Python or R
Ability to create compelling and insightful visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization platforms
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, and experience with data warehousing concepts.
Experience with multiple RMDB’s such as SQL Server, Oracle
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills required
Ability to drive exploration and draw conclusions from multiple data sets
Strong spirit of innovation, self-starter, independent, and with ability to come up with solutions to meet business problems
Self-directed who can interpret data to understand trends and derive meaningful business insights for senior executives with little oversight
Self-motivated with ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams and other analysts
Strong desire to learn new skills and pass knowledge acquired onto others
Keen attention to detail with deep quantitative and analytical skills and demonstrated capacity to solve problems and enhance reporting
Strong relationship building skills and ability to build alignment among customers and key stakeholders with demonstrated experience influencing without authority
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes and shifting priorities.
Effective communication skills and ability to translate numbers into a story
You need to be curious by nature, understand how data is produced in our various underlying systems and how reporting and analytics content is compiled so that data can be turned into actionable business insights to support the firm’s strategy
