Oliver Wyman is actively seeking an FP&A Analyst for a permanent role to join our Commercial Business Partnering team within Europe FP&A, based in Milan.

As an FP&A Analyst for the Europe region, you will report into the Head of Commercial Business Partnering – Europe FP&A and support commercial financial analysis for:

  • South East Europe

  • The Customer Innovation & Growth and Finance, Risk & Restructuring practices

This is a hybrid role that requires at least 3 days per week in the Milan office. There is no option to be fully remote.

Your primary areas of responsibility will be:

  • Support day-to-day financial planning and analysis for South East Europe, CIG & FRR, including management reporting, financial inputs to strategic decision making, commercial pricing support, and investment prioritization, under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Engage with business leaders, plus colleagues in other support teams (including Human Capital and the Business Impact Team), to support quarterly business reviews and the annual budget cycle (revenue and capacity) for the supported business intersections.

  • Support the regional forecasting and budget process by contributing to the monitoring and analysis of success fees, AR and WIP risks. Assist in managing the backlog of active projects, ensuring that information is up to date, appropriately reflected in forecasts, and aligned with expected revenue recognition.

  • Assist in the analysis of project and partner economics and in the provision of timely information to support queries or requests from regional and practice leaders.

  • Contribute to FP&A process improvement and MIS reporting initiatives and automation, including supporting work to enhance and standardize reporting, improve data quality, and leverage tools such as Tableau, Tableau Prep and SQL where appropriate. Experience with AI-enabled and advanced analytics tools can be used to further improve efficiency and insight in reporting and forecasting.

Experience Required:

  • BA or BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or another quantitative field preferred.

  • Typically 2–4 years of experience in a consulting, financial, or analytical role (for example, FP&A, commercial finance, audit, transaction services, or management consulting).

  • Fluency in English and Italian (both mandatory) for this Milan-based role.

  • Strong financial planning and/or accounting background.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with modern tools like Tableau, Tableau Prep and SQL to build data models and automate reporting and analytics is a plus.

  • Experience with Certinia professional services automation software is a plus.

  • Demonstrated interest in working with AI-enabled tools (for example, AI copilots or automated reporting solutions) and in exploring how they can be applied within FP&A to enhance analysis and reporting.
