Practice: Energy & Commodities – CTRM / ETRM (ION Endur)
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Oliver Wyman’s CTRM/ETRM capability, anchored by our specialized Endur practice, enables clients in the energy and commodities trading sector to manage market volatility, regulatory obligations, and digital transformation effectively. We are building a strong technical team in Bangalore to support rapid expansion in this strategic domain, delivering high-quality, maintainable, and performant Endur solutions that provide tangible client value.

Mission: Help energy and commodities clients operate more effectively in volatile markets by delivering scalable, high-quality Endur solutions that strengthen front-to-back trading, risk, and operations workflows.
Purpose: Build an inclusive, high-performing team that combines strong engineering fundamentals with deep CTRM/ETRM domain knowledge—creating meaningful growth through hands-on client delivery, mentorship, and continuous learning. We aim to establish consistent technical standards, reusable assets, and strong observability practices to improve delivery quality, reliability, and client outcomes.
The Role and Responsibilities
We are hiring experienced leaders in our CTRM/ETRM practice to drive delivery excellence and help shape our growth in this strategic domain. We seek individuals with deep Endur functional expertise and strong consulting skills who can lead complex projects, advise senior stakeholders, and mentor high-performing teams.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end Endur implementations and transformation programs across one or more commodity classes and global markets. You will partner with client stakeholders across front office, risk, operations, and back office to design solutions, optimize processes, and deliver measurable business impact.
Your responsibilities will include

Delivery Leadership
Leading end-to-end ETRM/CTRM engagements, including requirements gathering, solution design, Endur configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, and hypercare
Advising clients on commodity trading best practices across trade capture, valuation, position management, settlements, physical scheduling/logistics, and regulatory compliance (e.g., REMIT, EMIR, SFTR, MAR, Dodd-Frank)
Configuring and tailoring core Endur modules, including Deal Modeling, Market Data Tools, TPM/Workflows, Grid Enabled Services/Standard Gateways, APM, RiskPak, HedgePak, Accounting Desktop, and related components
Performing gap analyses and process optimization across front-to-back workflows, including performance considerations and risk mitigation on existing Endur environments
Collaborating with stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Operations, and Scheduling in major commodity markets and regions
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, managing and escalating risks through established governance channels

Innovation and Thought Leadership
Identifying and shaping opportunities for innovation in commodity risk solutions (e.g., VaR, PFE, stress testing, Monte Carlo simulations) and improvements to position management across physical and financial instruments
Contributing to reusable methodologies, accelerators, and implementation frameworks for Endur programs
Supporting internal knowledge sharing on commodity market dynamics, risk metrics (VaR, MtM, Greeks, basis risk), and regulatory developments
Promoting adoption of agile/DevOps ways of working and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to increase consistency and transparency in delivery

Capability Building and Practice Development
Mentoring and coaching teams, facilitating knowledge transfer on Endur modules, advanced configuration, and CTRM/ETRM domain concepts
Supporting standardization of processes, quality gates, reusable assets, and performance metrics to enhance delivery efficiency across commodity projects.
Participating in internal reviews, lessons-learned sessions, and training to strengthen team capabilities.

Marketing, Sales, and Business Development Activities
Supporting practice development through select pre-sales activities (RFP responses, workshops, demos, proof-of-concepts), marketing articles, whitepapers focused on Endur capabilities, and account growth initiatives
Maintaining client and prospect relationships to identify expansion opportunities, providing input to account strategies.
Engaging in select industry events and activities to support visibility in energy/commodity trading sectors.
Your Attributes, Experience & Qualifications
12–15+ years of experience in ETRM/CTRM, with 8–10+ years of hands-on Endur implementation and support experience (Endur 10+ preferred; recent versions strongly desirable)
Proven track record leading large-scale Endur programs across one or more commodity classes and global markets (Crude Oil & Refined Products, natural gas and LNG, Power and electricity, emissions, environmental certifications and renewables, coal and freight, metals)
Strong consulting toolkit, including business analysis, stakeholder management, process mapping, gap analysis, and delivery of actionable recommendations to senior executives
Deep understanding of trading workflows and the CTRM landscape (physical vs. financial trading, deal structuring, position management, P&L, market data integration, scheduling/logistics, hedge accounting, regulatory reporting)
Experience with Agile/Scaled Agile/DevOps methodologies
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 40%)
Technical Background
Advanced proficiency in Endur configuration, customization, and troubleshooting across core modules and service; expertise in modules such as Credit/Risk Manager, DFR, MDD, Email Service, Report Builder, Sims, Kafka Capabilities, Tax Manager, Payment Gateways, Static Data Modules, User Group Management, DMS, APM, Advaced Risk Modules (RiskPak/HedgePak), Accounting Desktop; strong knowledge of ETRM data models, ETL, and analytics
Deep domain expertise in commodity classes (crude oil, gas/LNG, power, emissions), commodity risk models, commodity pricing concepts, Portfolio Construction & Valuation Measures (VaR/MtM/Greeks), Stress Testing, and global regulatory frameworks.
Roles and levels
We are hiring at the Delivery Manager level for experienced professionals, typically with 12–15+ years of relevant experience.
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
