About the Role
Oliver Wyman's CTRM capability, centered on our specialized Endur practice, empowers clients in the energy and commodities trading sector to address market volatility, regulatory requirements, and digital advancements. We are expanding our dynamic functional team in Bangalore to fuel growth in this key area, delivering reliable, user-focused Endur delivery that drive real business outcomes.
As a Consultant – ETRM, you will support the functional aspects of trading and risk management systems, including requirements analysis, configuration, testing, and user support. Collaborating with senior consultants, business analysts, and client teams, you will help implement custom workflows, integrations, and optimizations for efficient commodity trading operations, while contributing to standardized practices and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Delivery & Configuration
Assist in configuring core Endur modules to support trade lifecycle such as Deal Capture, Amendments, Product Control, Logistics, Scheduling, Nominations, Actualization, Settlements, Confirmations, Taxation, Accounting etc.
Catering to Deal Modeling Process TPM/Workflows Management (Business Process Orchestration), Market Static Data (Contract Codes, Commodity/Electricity Delivery Setup), Prices/Vols/Corrs Setup, gMotion/cMotion setup, Costs/Fees Set-up, Pricing Components (Projection Methods, Payment Formulas, Models etc.), and back office market standard solutions (e.g. Invoices, Confirms, eConfirms, etc.), to align with client needs in North American & European Gas, Power, and Liquids markets.
Contribute to modeling market data, including spot prices, forward curves, basis differentials, spreads, and indices, for precise valuation of instruments like Commodity Futures, Physicals, Swaps, Transits, Storages, Transmissions, Spreads, and Fees.
Participate in end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and UAT, validating real-time trade execution, PnL/Delta calculations, EOD workflows, and settlement processes.
Help resolve defects and perform parallel run testing during upgrades, focusing on Settlement Desktop configurations - including hierarchies of objects such as Definitions, Views, Templates, Output Forms, and Module Sets - to maintain valuation consistency and operational stability.
Support configuration for physical scheduling, nominations, nomination groupings, inventory movements, and commodity delivery processes across gas, power, and liquids workflows.
Solution Design & Integration
Gather and document business requirements into Business Requirements Document and further refine and craft Solution Design Documents (SDDs) which can be acted by development teams to build & develop solutions in Endur.
Support integrations with external systems and platforms, such as scheduling systems and physical infrastructure connectors for scheduling, nominations, automated trade updates, tariff updates, and data synchronization.
Contribute to risk management solutions such as simulation setups, executions and reporting.
Client & Team Collaboration
Work with business stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, Operations, Scheduling) to understand requirements for trade capture, contract modeling, scheduling & nominations, commodity delivery, and master/reference data management.
Participate in workshops, user training sessions, and hypercare support, developing role-based training materials and resolving user queries on Endur proficiency.
Document functional designs, test scripts, and operational procedures using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Qmetry for defect lifecycle management and knowledge transfer.
Support junior team members through mentoring on Endur modules, testing best practices, and agile processes.
Quality & Practice Contribution
Engage in agile/DevOps workflows, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to deliver consistent, tested solutions.
Utilize quality tools for test planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution, including reusable regression suites and validation of non-functional aspects like performance, security (access controls, audit trails), and data integrity.
Identify opportunities for efficiency through standardized configurations, accelerators, and best practices in Endur functional setups.
Contribute to internal activities, such as pre-sales support, and knowledge building in areas specific to commodity classes being worked in Endur.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined, you may be assigned other related duties, priorities, or stretch objectives from time to time to support evolving business needs and team success.
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Finance, Business/Management, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
2-4 years of relevant experience in ETRM/CTRM, with at least 1-2 years hands-on functional configuration and support on Openlink Endur (v19+ preferred; exposure to recent versions advantageous).

Demonstrated involvement in one or more forms of engagements such as ETRM Advisory, Implementations, Upgrades, Migrations, and Support across one or more commodity classes, preferably:
Crude Oil & Refined Products (Brent, WTI, Gasoil; regions: USGC, ARA/NWE, Singapore, Middle East)
Natural Gas & LNG (Henry Hub, TTF, NBP; regions: US, Continental Europe/Baltics/UK, Asia)
Power (EU Power, US Power/PJM/ERCOT)
Emissions, Environmental Certificates & Renewables (EUAs, CCAs, RECs, CORSIA)
Coal & Freight
Metals (base, precious, ferrous)
Exposure to agriculture/softs or multi-commodity portfolios considered beneficial.
Practical experience working on Endur Managers & Modules such as Instrument Builder, Tran/Event Info, Pricing Configurations, EOD Setups, Reporting Solutions, TPM/Workflows, Deal Skins, Scheduling, and interfaces.
Involvement in agile projects, including functional testing, UAT, and deployment activities.

Roles and levels
We are hiring beginner to Mid-level (2-4 years relevant experience, including 1-2+ years hands-on with ION Endur in functional configuration and support). In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
