Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Resource Manager in our Chicago or New York City office to oversee and optimize our global scheduling operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling process across various teams, ensuring efficiency, and fostering collaboration to meet operational goals. You will play a crucial role in enhancing resource allocation and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scheduling strategies that align with organizational goals and optimize resource utilization.
Collaborate with group leads to forecast scheduling needs and accommodate changes in demand.
Monitor scheduling metrics, utilization, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline processes and improve communication across teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries, resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth operations.
Coordinate and manage the assignment of consultants and staff to projects based on availability, skillsets, and project priorities.
Maintain an accurate resource database with current skill profiles, certifications, and availability statuses.
Collaborate closely with project managers, human capital, and delivery teams to align staffing plans with project timelines and business objectives.
Manage the upkeep and accuracy of resource management tools/systems, ensuring data integrity for availability, skills, and utilization.
Train and support end users on resource management tools and best practices.
Identify and recommend process improvements in resource management practices.
Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in workforce and resource management.
Qualifications:
3+ years of scheduling experience in a professional services/consulting environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex scheduling processes and optimizing resource allocation.
Familiarity with consulting workflows and project delivery methodologies.
Experience with resource management or project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Big Hand, Elite 3E) preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed scheduling decisions.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of industry best practices in scheduling and resource management.
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
The applicable base salary for this role is $95,000 – $120,000 per year and eligible for overtime.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
