Why we need you
Oliver Wyman Vector is seeking a highly skilled Lead Specialist to join our innovative team in Kuala Lumpur. This pivotal role requires a subject matter expert with extensive technical experience in the APAC region. Your deep knowledge of maintenance, repair, IT systems, and operations (MRO) will be instrumental in delivering cost-effective, reliable, and safe operational support, thus enhancing client performance and satisfaction.
What we’ll count on you to do
- Client Engagement:
- Facilitate high-level discussions and workshops, engaging clients across all organizational levels.
- Present tailored solutions and advanced technical guidance to address complex operational challenges.
- Keep up to date on APAC local market landscape and clientele
- Project Management:
- Lead multifaceted projects with a focus on quality, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct rigorous quality checks and serve as the final approver for deliverables, ensuring alignment with client and firm standards.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide insights into APAC new business opportunities
- Support financial analysis for new business incubation across aviation verticals
- Drive the resolution of emergent issues by applying innovative problem-solving techniques
- Process Improvement:
- Document and optimize processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement actionable plans for effective change management, driving significant client improvements
- Team Development:
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Model inclusive leadership, promoting collaboration and respect within the team to enhance performance
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- 4-6 years in an Aviation / MRO industry, focusing on Airline and/or MRO operational excellence, airline network strategy, airport expansion and Ground handling services
- Proven project management experience with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical capabilities and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences
- Competence in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies
- Preferred certifications in project and change management.
- Must be able to live and work in Malaysia without company sponsorship
