About the role
Oliver Wyman is seeking a Knowledge Manager to support A&D for the Americas region, with a strong focus on the US market and related Private Capital work. A&D is a specialized sector within the Oliver Wyman consulting business, covering commercial aerospace, defense, space and government services with broad expertise across corporate growth, commercial strategy, transformation, operational effectiveness, and Private Capital-related work.
This is a business-facing Knowledge Management role for someone who can build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, understand sector priorities, and turn project experience and intellectual capital into practical, reusable knowledge assets. The role requires strong ownership, proactivity, and the ability to drive initiatives from idea through execution and adoption.
The successful candidate will work closely with A&D leadership, Partners, Consultants, Knowledge Services colleagues, and related support functions. They will help shape and deliver the A&D knowledge agenda, strengthen knowledge capture and reuse, and advance practical AI-enabled ways of working across KM workflows.
The ideal candidate has a background in knowledge management, consulting or research, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate with structure, pace, and independence. Experience or strong interest in A&D and/or Private Capital is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge strategy and stakeholder engagement
Build trusted relationships with A&D Americas and relevant Private Capital stakeholders
Translate business priorities into clear KM priorities, initiatives, and routines
Create a regular cadence with the team to identify needs, track progress, and ensure follow-through
Build internal networks to connect the team with the right experts, content, and support
Knowledge capture and content management
Capture and codify high-value knowledge from projects, proposals, and sector work
Develop and maintain reusable assets with the A&D team
Keep knowledge repositories structured, current, and easy to use
Embed core KM routines, including project closeout, content refresh, and knowledge tool usage
Promote reuse of knowledge assets across A&D Americas and relevant Private Capital work
Train consultants in proper use of knowledge tools and KM processes
Knowledge development and business activation
Drive A&D knowledge development initiatives from planning through execution
Identify knowledge gaps and work with the business to close them
Support business development and project delivery with targeted knowledge input
AI-enabled KM and adoption
Promote practical use of approved AI tools in KM workflows
Identify AI-enabled opportunities for knowledge capture, retrieval, synthesis, and reuse
Help test and scale AI use cases that improve access to knowledge and team efficiency
Encourage AI-fluent ways of working across the A&D knowledge agenda
Experience required
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years’ experience in knowledge management, consulting, research, or business development
Experience or strong interest in A&D and Private Capital preferred
Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Experience using SharePoint, Teams, knowledge platforms, and AI tools preferred

This is a hybrid role that requires a presence in the office 3 days per week. There is no option to be fully remote.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $126,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
