Lead the delivery of digital transformation work that creates real client impact

At Oliver Wyman, we help leading organizations solve their most complex strategic, operational and technological challenges. Our clients come to us when the answer is not obvious, the stakes are high, and the solution requires more than a slide deck.

Within Oliver Wyman, the Data & Analytics division, DNA, brings together specialists in data, analytics, AI, engineering, technology, product and delivery. We work globally across industries including Financial Services, Insurance, Energy, Climate & Sustainability, Retail, Transportation and the public sector. Our work spans strategy, advanced analytics, digital product development, technology transformation and implementation.

We are looking for a Delivery Lead Specialist to join our growing DNA team. This is a senior client-facing delivery role for someone who can bring structure to complexity, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that digital and technology transformation projects move from ambition to execution.

You will work at the intersection of consulting, product delivery, technology and client transformation. You will not simply track project plans. You will shape delivery approaches, set up governance, orchestrate teams, manage risks, challenge assumptions and help clients achieve tangible outcomes.

What you will do

As a Delivery Lead Specialist, you will lead the successful delivery of complex digital, analytics and technology transformation projects. You will work closely with clients, consultants, designers, engineers, data scientists and technology experts to ensure that teams are aligned, priorities are clear, and delivery remains focused on impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the setup and execution of digital, analytics and technology delivery projects, from mobilisation through delivery and handover.
  • Defining delivery approaches, governance structures, rituals, workplans and reporting mechanisms tailored to the client context.
  • Managing complex multidisciplinary teams across consulting, design, data science, engineering, product and client stakeholders.
  • Translating business objectives into actionable delivery plans, technology requirements, product roadmaps and sprint-level execution.
  • Driving project planning, prioritization and coordination across workstreams, ensuring that scope, timelines, dependencies and risks are actively managed.
  • Operating confidently within Agile, hybrid Agile and PMO delivery environments, including sprint planning, backlog management, dependency management and release coordination.
  • Using tools such as JIRA and other project management platforms to manage delivery transparency, project tracking, reporting and team alignment.
  • Supporting or leading Digital Asset Build environments, including delivery governance, documentation, risk tracking, quality management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Identifying delivery risks early, shaping mitigation plans and creating a team culture where issues are raised constructively and resolved quickly.
  • Facilitating client and team discussions, workshops and decision-making forums to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Ensuring delivery outputs tell a clear story and connect directly to the client’s desired business impact.
  • Contributing to proposals, pre-sales conversations, delivery approaches and project mobilisation for new client opportunities.
  • Sharing delivery best practices across DNA and helping evolve our delivery methodologies, toolkits and ways of working.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a senior delivery professional who combines strong project delivery discipline with product thinking, technology understanding and consulting presence.

You should be comfortable operating in complex client environments where priorities shift, stakeholders have different incentives, and delivery requires both structure and judgment. You can bring order to ambiguity without slowing teams down. You know when to use process, when to challenge it, and when to adapt it.

You will likely bring:

  • 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience in digital project delivery, technology implementation, product delivery, PMO, Agile delivery, consulting or transformation environments.
  • Experience leading complex digital, data, analytics or technology delivery projects, ideally in client-facing or consulting-led environments.
  • Strong understanding of digital product delivery, including the roles of UX design, UI design, customer research, front-end development, back-end development, data science and engineering.
  • Experience setting up and running delivery governance for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methods, including sprint planning, backlog management, ceremonies, iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge how AI is changing the way we work and deliver software
  • Practical understanding of how AI agents can interact with project management and software delivery workflows, including how to structure GitHub Projects, JIRA boards, backlogs, issues and documentation so that teams and coding agents can work from a shared, well-maintained source of context.
  • Experience using Trello / JIRA / GitHub Projects and other project management or delivery tracking tools.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology requirements, delivery plans, product roadmaps and clear team actions.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data, delivery metrics, project reporting and complex issue diagnosis.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build trust with clients, understand motivations and influence decision-making.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across formal steering meetings, working sessions and informal team interactions.
  • Experience managing, coaching or mentoring junior team members.
  • Fluent German and English

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience in management consulting, digital consulting or professional services.
  • Experience delivering digital assets, data products, analytics platforms, AI-enabled tools or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with software development processes, front-end and back-end technologies, cloud environments, DevOps, CI/CD or data platforms.
  • Experience contributing to business development, proposals, client pitches or delivery methodology development.
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or equivalent delivery credentials.

What makes this a senior role?

This role goes beyond coordination. As a Senior Delivery Lead Specialist, you will be expected to own delivery outcomes, guide teams through complexity and act as a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues.

You will be expected to:

  • Lead complex projects or essential workstreams with significant client impact.
  • Shape tailored delivery frameworks rather than simply applying standard templates.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and adapt delivery approaches as new information emerges.
  • Prioritise work, update plans and keep scope and timelines achievable.
  • Identify delivery risks, drive mitigation and create transparency around project health.
  • Hold teams accountable while maintaining a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder discussions and produce clear, impact-oriented communication.
  • Develop junior colleagues through structured feedback, delegation, coaching and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the growth of DNA’s delivery capability by sharing methods, tools and best practices.
  • Support commercial activity by contributing to proposals, delivery approaches and client development conversations.
