Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Group Sales Manager ProAV.
Manages a Sales team and drives mid to long term specific organizational strategic goals in assigned categories, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of specific markets and related market conditions. Identifies business opportunities for relevant PCI product offering to promote sustainable and profitable sales for the Canadian Pro AV Market. In conjunction with sales, factories, and Business Manager roles, develop complex medium- and long-term sales strategies based on current and future business needs, designing unique to client solutions including emerging technologies.
This is a full-time position.
This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive.
Responsibilities
- Develops, expands, and generates new business opportunities in the assigned categories, driving revenue, market share, and margins.
- Sets, and achieves or exceeds performance or outcome targets and budgets or other financial targets. Attends weekly senior management meetings and provides updates on how business is tracking for the month / YTD, any issues, and potential resolutions.
- Prospects, networks, and obtains referrals to build, grow, maintain, and leverage relationships.
- Creates, promotes, and maintains strong strategic relationships with partners, industry experts, influencers, and governmental regulatory bodies to generate business and enhance the development of assigned product lines and business opportunities.
- Analyzes market data reports, collaborates internally and networks information to uncover incremental opportunities, and report on issues surrounding loss of business opportunities.
- Effectively coaches and mentors the Sales team. Provides day to day leadership, and counseling to team as to the execution of programs, plans and objectives.
- Ensures staff development is consistent with corporate objectives and recruits and trains new team members if / as needed.
- Ensures adherence to Corporate Employment Equity objectives through hiring and promotion practices. Prepares and delivers performance evaluations and resolves grievances.
- Leads the PSI process for the category and is accountable for the ongoing forecasting input. Ensures PCI is purchasing the right product mix and qty of inventory while minimizing of SMS.
Qualifications
- College or University Degree – 3- or 4-Year Bachelor Level in Business Administration, or Marketing major.
- 7 to 10 years related work experience in Business development, including prospecting, and new account development.
- Maintains appropriate industry associations.
- Proficient with MS Office, CRM and Presentations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to perform in-depth analysis and strategize customized solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
