What You'll Get To Do:
Under Treasury Manager’s supervision, conducts or assists in the day-to-day operations and reporting. Require a broad knowledge of treasury practice and procedures
Loan & Deposit
- Arrange internal term and revolving loans and deposits for Group Companies (“GC”)
- Adjust the cash positions at the bank accounts by transferring the funds for the in-house global settlement days (GSD / SGSD)
- Initiate all necessary bank wires including third-party payments on behalf of the GC as well as bank account transfers and internal account transfers via the in-house treasury system
- Monitor and analyze GC’s loan and deposit positions to advise efficient operations
- Prepare Daily Cash Analysis and monitor GC’s loan limit and PFI transaction limit by bank
- Create L&D balance summary from XSAS and cross check with Daily Cash Analysis
- Download and save various MM and FX reports daily
- Assist in issuing commercial papers for the group-wide fundraising need when instructed by PEX Japan Finance
Foreign Exchange (“FX”)
- Adjust FX positions of group companies on the global settlement days
- Introduce new method of funding, FX hedging for improving financial situation and avoiding FX risks
- Create Daily FX Position Analysis to ensure the internal and bank positions are squared
Group Company Support
- Support GCs’ Citibank sweep account and XSAS account opening/closing
- Ensure GCs’ Master Agreement Signer Cards are up to date
- Provide various XSAS operational support
- Manage storage of UWC, RFA, agreements and bank related documents and others
Internal Control
- Ensures full compliance with PNA policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Conduct initial internal control evaluations and assist responding to the inquiries from both external and internal auditors and other necessary procedures
- Investigate, resolve, and/or report to the Treasury Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties
Documents
- Maintain PFI banking documents up to date

Scope
- No direct report
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance or equivalent work experience.
- 6-8 years treasury experience in the financial industry, including a corporate treasury-specialized affiliate, is required.
- Proficiency in Japanese preferred but not required
Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of treasury functions including related accounting principles.
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online banking systems.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work well under pressure to complete tasks on cut-off time.
- Considerably analytical and mathematical abilities. Detail oriented, organized, and thorough.
Communications
- Strong communication skills verbally and in writing to clearly report to the management, and deal with dealers, banks and group companies.
Other Requirements
- Travel: Less than 5 percent

The wage range of $85,000 - $95,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
