Overview

As a key member of the Manufacturing Operations team, you will apply engineering best practices to lead the manufacturing and testing of rack systems. The primary focus will be on the electrical and mechanical performance testing and controls management of CO₂ rack systems, as well as other rack configurations. In this role, the Production Test Engineer Supervisor will become the subject matter expert in testing procedures and controls, and will be responsible for training the hourly electrical and mechanical testing workforce. A secondary focus of the position includes establishing and managing the Panel Layout and Wiring section for the CO₂ production line. This role requires flexibility, including extended work hours and occasional weekend shifts.Key


Responsibilities

  • Lead the testing process for rack systems, including hands-on test execution when necessary.
  • Supervise hourly leads responsible for rack testing and rack panel wiring.
  • Demonstrate and apply in-depth knowledge of rack controls and their integration into the testing process.
  • Collaborate with Suwanee Systems Engineering to ensure timely implementation of electrical and mechanical design changes.
  • Supervise assigned production floor lines/cells as needed, ensuring alignment with business objectives and safety standards.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing concepts into production processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and audit data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Manage production schedules, inventory control, material presentation, and overall quality/safety practices.
  • Work collaboratively in a non-union environment and be available for weekend work when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering) required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, testing, or engineering environment, preferably involving electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a focus on rack systems and control systems testing.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
