To lead and support the development, validation, and implementation of new metal-mechanical products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, timelines, cost targets, and customer specifications, while ensuring a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Responsabilidades
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, analysis, and validation of new metal products from prototype to mass production.
- Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for new products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production, purchasing) to ensure successful product launches.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, DFMEAs, work instructions, PPAPs, and related deliverables.
- Support design reviews and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
- Provide manufacturing support and drive continuous improvement during product launch phases.
- Propose design and process improvements to optimize manufacturability and reduce costs.
- Provide technical support during customer audits and product certifications.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in new product development within the metal-mechanical industry.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, manufacturing of metal parts, and familiarity with processes such as welding, machining, bending, stamping, or assembly.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficient in CAD software (preferred: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or similar).
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans).
- Ability to interpret technical standards and drawings (ISO, ASTM, ASME).
- Solid understanding of metal manufacturing processes.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (required if working with global teams).
