We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the Parts Forecasting process for Panasonic’s Business to Business products and solutions. You will develop forecasts for one or more product categories, leveraging market intelligence, sales trends, and statistical models to create accurate and consensus-driven forecasts.
Responsibilities
Planning
- Develop and send monthly service parts forecasts to factory suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to gather market intelligence, product road maps, and end-of-life information.
- Analyze historical data and trends, performing history cleanups as necessary to aid in forecasting, initial guidance orders, end-of-life planning, and scrapping.
- Evaluate statistical forecasts and adjust tuning parameters on the model as needed.
- Work with various stakeholders to finalize a consensus forecast.
- Oversee and manage backorders, ensuring timely fulfillment and communication with customers regarding expected delivery dates.
- Measure forecast accuracy and bias and implement methods to improve these key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Facilitate the creation of a forecast to serve as the business plan.
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, minimize excess inventory, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Oversee the process of scrapping obsolete or damaged inventory, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage final buy plans to ensure the availability of critical components and materials before discontinuation, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet demand.
- Coordinate with Service warehouse teams and vendors on estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
Vendor Management
- Collaborate with factory and vendors to secure inventory, confirm delivery dates, and quantities.
- Monitor the status of shipments and collaborate with the logistics team to address and resolve any delays promptly.
- Update inventory receipts in SAP in coordination with the Inventory Accounting team.
- Resolve any invoicing issues by liaising with vendors.
Process Improvement Initiatives
- Establish and integrate new demand planning techniques within your categories.
- Explore and utilize advanced functionalities within current demand planning systems to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Analyze existing processes to identify manual tasks that can be automated and develop and implement plans to improve overall efficiency and reduce internal costs.
- Propose and implement process changes to enhance the customer experience for parties purchasing products from Panasonic.

Reports to: Service Supply Chain Manager
Education & Experience: Degree required/preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 1+ years of demand planning experience required, or equivalent university coursework.
- Experience working with advanced statistical forecasting tools required, or equivalent university coursework.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
People Management/Conflict Resolution:
- Ability to work effectively within a team of Demand Planners and Master Data professionals.
- Capability to collaborate with Product/Category owners to gather market and business intelligence.
- Proficiency in working with sales teams to gain insights on sales pipelines.
- Competence in coordinating with supply and allocation teams to ensure proper allocation.
Communications:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Comfort working in a diverse environment and communicating with overseas factory teams.
- Ability to work with Customer Service, Sales, Product Management, Channel Management, and Finance to resolve issues.
- Regular communication with Product Management, Category Owners, and Executive Management.
- Must proactively communicate with stakeholders and keep team updated on ongoing issues

Salary Range
$50,000 –$70,000 + Bonus REQ-152586
