What You'll Get To Do

The Knowledge Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and governance of knowledge management practices across the enterprise, with a focus on improving self-service, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures that knowledge assets—including those embedded in ServiceNow—are accurate, accessible, and aligned with business goals.

Knowledge Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of knowledge articles, including creation, validation, publishing, retirement, and archival in ServiceNow.
  • Own the data documentation retention and classification strategy and process

Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Define and enforce standards for article structure, metadata, and tagging.
  • Review submissions for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with publication guidelines.
  • Ensure documents are updated as necessary in compliance with data schedules, classification, and retention

Collaboration and Enablement

  • Partner with content owners, SMEs, and process leads (e.g., HR, IT, Legal) to ensure timely updates and relevance of knowledge content.
  • Facilitate workshops and training on knowledge contribution best practices
  • Develop processes that ensure documents are updated per required schedule

Platform Optimization

  • Work closely with Microsoft & Service Now administrators and developers to enhance the knowledge portal experience, including taxonomy, searchability, and integration with intake forms
  • Stay up to date with current trends and key tools capabilities to identify areas where configuration / development can lead to an improved experience

Metrics and Continuous Improvement

  • Track Usage, feedback, and effectiveness of documents and knowledge articles
  • Use analytics to identify gaps, inform content strategy, and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify automation use cases that lead to the development of ROI driven improvements

Scope:.

  • Manage a virtual team of content managers
  • This position reports into IT transformation Office and has dotted line accountability to the PNA Risk Committee

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors / Master degree in library / information science required / preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in knowledge management, content strategy, or IT service management.
  • Strong familiarity with ServiceNow Knowledge Management module and KCS (Knowledge-Centered Service) principles
  • Experienced in data classification and retention strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional initiatives and influence without authority

Problem Solving:

  • Expected to interpret and apply regulatory and legal requirements to a variety of business and technology environments.
  • Responsible for solving cross-functional challenges involving security, legal / compliance, operations, and architecture.
  • Ability to design scalable, risk-informed solutions that support both enterprise and business-unit objectives.

Communications:

  • Must effectively communicate with executive leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, regulators, and third parties.
  • Ability to translate complex Information science concepts into plain language for non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in presenting risk, performance, and program updates to senior executives, boards, and oversight committees.
  • Capable of influencing and building consensus across multiple departments and organizational levels.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience working in a transformation environment
  • Must stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Experience in shared services environment preferred

The wage range of $120,000 - $130,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
