Overview

The Product Manager serves as the product owner in agile development forums (daily scrums, iteration planning and reviews) and manages all go-to-market activities and roadmap planning related to the product line to gain market share and profitability.
Responsibilities

The Software product manager is the voice of the company to target customers, develops a feedback circle to test new software based on product concepts in real customer environments and owns the product launches end-to-end working with the marketing & operations teams to ensure a successful release. A successful Product Manager must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment and influence key stakeholders to drive sales and growth of the category.

This position is responsible for managing current product solutions as well as leading future product development activities in collaboration with sales company and factory teams. The Product Management role requires a passionate individual with strong work ethic, verbal and written communication skills and a high value on team collaboration to accomplish mutual goals and objectives.

What you will get to do:

Product Planning and Roadmap:

  • Based upon understanding of market and input from stakeholders, such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development, System Solutions, Technical Support, and customers, create product roadmaps for products that are consist with strategic business goals.
  • Lead primary market research efforts and leverage secondary research to identify new opportunities for PPNDA focused on ecosystem and software.
  • Interface with on-premise and factory planning and engineering resources to ensure tight coordination of activities.
  • Create, analyze and present business case for new software products to management for approval.

Software Development Activities:

  • Assist with requirements gathering, analysis, and definition based upon understanding of business applications for video technologies.
  • Provide guidance on the approach for testing products, applications, and features.
  • Assist with the definition and prioritization of enhancements, features, and bug fixes.
  • Determines conditions of satisfaction and acceptance criteria for requirements.
  • Assist with defining, improving, and ensuring adherence to the software development process.

New Business Development

  • Work with targeted customers, engineering, sales, and business development to identify, analyze, propose and test new product/ business opportunities that will accelerate Product Category growth and profitability across all vertical markets. This includes Panasonic products, as well as 3rd party accessories and solutions.

What you will bring:

Education & Experience:

  • College degree desired in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Business.
  • 5-7 years or equivalent experience in Product Management and/or Software development.
  • Experience with visual systems hardware, software, and technology.
  • Agile development experience preferred.
  • PMP, CSPO, SCRUM, PMI and PSPO preferred
  • Working knowledge of visual systems, audio/video systems, visual content creation, and networking / IoT technologies required.
  • Some experience with Artificial Intelligence and Cloud to Cloud integration preferred.
  • Technical hardware/software background with the ability to communicate with Product Engineering and Product Planning teams and translate complex concepts into product requirements and marketing terms.
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Proven experience in market analysis and providing product direction to factory R&D / Engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in customer journey mapping, User Interface
  • Proven success in launching new products, market messaging and product life cycle management.

Other Requirements:

  • 30% travel including international.
