Overview

Entry-Level Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics units (LRUs) using approved procedures, tools, and test equipment. Responsible for documenting work in the control system and adhering to safety and quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in electronics and mechanical assembly who are eager to learn and grow within a technical environment. Training will be provided to develop skills in testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.


Responsibilities

Perform basic repairs on electronic units, including replacing components and restoring functionality under guidance.

Assist in set-up and calibration for repair testing procedures.

Test and conduct simple troubleshooting to identify obvious faults and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.

Document all repair activities, including parts used and discrepancies, in the system accurately.

Assemble and position parts and components, securing them using soldering, crimping, fastening, and glueing (training provided).

Install repaired assemblies into cases or cabinets according to instructions.

Generate repair cost quotation worksheets based on training and established guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organised work area and comply with safety and quality standards.

Learn to use maintenance manuals and documentation to support repair actions with guidance.


Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent internationally recognized qualification.

Recognized technical qualification or relevant experience. (In U.S., Associates Degree in Electronics or Electronics Technology preferred or equivalent military education and experience.)

0-3 years bench experience in an electronic systems repair environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED:

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and technologies in a highly regulated aerospace environment, specifically within electronic component repair operations. Demonstrated commitment to continuous development and compliance with aviation standards and safety protocols.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Understanding of electronic circuit design for fault isolation and troubleshooting.

Ability to work on miniature electromechanical devices using common hand tools.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.

Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.

Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.

May receive detailed instructions on work.
