What You'll Get To Do:

Provides support to the Payroll Accounting Department in Data Analytics and Analysis on various financial and payroll data using Business Intelligence BI tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Azure, and Tableau. This position also encompasses automation/streamlining of datasets, and analytics computations using programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell.

  • Conduct basic and statistical analysis on financial and payroll data
  • Supporting automation project using Power BI, Azure for payroll
  • Conducts complex assignments involving accounting payroll projects
  • Prepare wage analysis and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Identify relevant Payroll data sources and gain access to them following company policies and procedures
  • Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff
  • Conduct explanatory data analysis to assess the integrity of the data, as well as to attain the basic understanding of the dataset
  • Preparation of datasets for analysis, which includes data cleansing, standardization, validation, etc.
  • Engineer unstructured datasets into structured ones using custom scripts or programs
  • Communicate results through standardized reporting & visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI
  • Design and create data pipelines for standard datasets from enterprise databases, such as SAP and Workday.
  • Collaborate with other data science teams to drive data initiatives
  • Daily and Monthly Payroll Accounting Department responsibilities

Scope:

  • Collaborate with various members of the PAD team by providing Data Analytics support
  • Reports to Payroll Accounting Manager

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • BS or BA Degree in Business, Finance, Data Science & Analytics, Computer Science, or related degree.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience as data analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Azure, Power BI, AI Excel Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • Experience of statistical concepts, working in data processing and analysis
  • Experience in programming or scripting languages, such as Tableau, and Alteryx.
  • Knowledge of ERPs such as SAP and Workday, especially on standard reports and tables
  • Workday knowledge a plus

Problem Solving:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Assertive and proactive, able to manage your own workload and take ownership of a project

Communications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with the Payroll Accounting team as well as other departments.
  • Confidence, organization, advanced preparation, and good listening skills to make presentations to small groups are essential.
  • Must have passion for understanding processes, strong attention to detail with unquestionable integrity to maintain independence and objectivity.

Other Requirements:

  • Up to 15% of business travel to international or domestic locations.

The wage range of $80,000 - $90,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
