• Engineering Processes: Good understanding and contributor in process improvement. • Project Impact: Multi-projects with single components and sub-systems responsibility • Team Interaction: Technical leadership on smaller project cross functional teams • External Customer Interaction: Customer interaction on an intermittent basis • Autonomy: Some guidance from supervisor and mentors • Technical Communication: Analysis and presentation skills demonstrated • Technical Judgment (Problem Solving): Clear understanding of the issues and applies techniques to solve quickly • Developing Others: Mentoring underway with less experienced engineers YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: • 5 – 7 years EDUCATION: • BS in Engineering discipline FOUNDATIONAL COMPETENCIES: • Develop a functional analysis of a design and analyze all interactions between parts and the environment. • Identify key parameters for each function and develop design specification that includes identification of Key Product Characteristics • Develop predictive models by conducting regression analysis (including the use of dummy and interaction variables as required) • Understand when to use a linear versus a nonlinear finite element model • Properly load and constrain a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model to accurately reflect the physical system • Properly interpret the FEA results considering singularities, convergence, linearity, etc. • Understand and implement Demand Flow Technology where applicable • Perform cost analysis of a manufacturing process using activity based costing where applicable • Perform Function Analysis System Technique to understand and improve process and product cost
