Meet the Recruiter: Denise Goetz

What You'll Get To Do:

We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Site Lead) to own the day-to-day execution of high-volume hourly hiring at our De Soto, KS site. While we are a large, established organization, this location is in a critical startup phase—requiring a Lead who is comfortable building structure, driving consistency, and solving problems in real-time.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role that serves as the primary onsite Talent Acquisition partner for site leadership. Working under the guidance and oversight of the TA Operations Manager, you will manage the daily recruiting workflow, provide direction to our RPO partner, and ensure the business has the talent it needs to scale.

Key Accountabilities:

  • 50% Site-Level TA Partnership: Serve as the onsite face of TA for site leaders and HR. Translate business needs into daily hiring priorities and keep the TA Operations Manager informed of site health and roadblocks.
  • 30% RPO Direction & Accountability: Provide boots on the ground direction for our RPO partner. Guide their daily focus, calibrate candidate quality, and ensure they are meeting the site’s specific volume needs.
  • 5% Operational Execution: Own the daily hiring rhythm—from organizing hiring events to ensuring interview slates are full and managers are prepared.
  • 5% Collaborative Problem Solving: Identify funnel breakdowns (e.g., low applicant flow or interview no-shows) and work cross-functionally with Ops and HR to implement creative solutions.
  • 5% Strategic Site Recruitment: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent for site-specific production and operations roles.
  • 5% Vendor Guidance: Support and coach external RPO vendors on site-specific best practices and quality standards.
  • 5% Employer Branding & Experience: Promote the company as an employer of choice locally and ensure every candidate has a professional, timely experience to drive long-term retention.
  • 5% Compliance & Reporting: Maintain a tight feedback loop with the TA Operations Manager, providing visibility into site metrics, RPO performance, and local market trends.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience: Degree required/preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED required. AA or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in high-volume hourly recruiting or staffing (Manufacturing, Production, or Distribution preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of ATS platforms (iCIMS preferred), recruitment analytics, and report building.

Problem Solving: Complexity of problems

  • Mindset: A builder mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and create order out of high-volume demands.
  • Communication: Strong influencing and presentation skills with the ability to report up to a TA Operations Manager while managing daily details.

Communications: Key communications contacts (internal/external) and level of persuasion required

  • Networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management.
  • Positive-thinker and problem-solver who is results and process-driven.

Other Requirements: e.g. Working conditions, physical requirements, travel, etc.

  • Ability to travel as needed (less than 25 percent).
