Perella Weinberg Partners is actively searching for Desktop Support Engineer on our Helpdesk Desk team in our New York office. The role will provide second and third tier support for the Firm. This position will have a hands-on role in engineering, deploying, and sustaining the systems and applications directly utilized by our end-users working closely with employees to support their technology needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record for superior technical support experience with an emphasis in designing and delivering desktop solutions to end users. The candidate should possess educational and personal achievement along with a passion for technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze events, handle incidents effectively and influence decisions to improve the reliability and speed of the response.
  • Enforce procedures as they relate to technical change management, patch management, and core systems monitoring.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of multi-tiered virtual/physical systems, applications, and patches.
  • Create, manage, and monitor software packages, software updates, and deployments
  • Support & assist the maintenance of directory services and software deployment
  • Manage enterprise-wide projects from assessment and proof of concept through to implementation.
  • Package software for automated deployments, providing logic for handling new installations, upgrades, and managing dependencies
  • Proactively identify and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and manageability of the Windows platform
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of advanced troubleshooting tools such as Windows Debugger, Process Monitor, Windows Performance Toolkit, etc.
  • Create and manage Active Directory Group Policies, OU permissions, DHCP and DNS
  • Assist with regression testing of supported software through OS Patches and Upgrades
  • Use existing process-level and system metrics to troubleshoot performance issues and improve user desktop performance. Identify areas where new metrics will be beneficial to improve performance observability, identify areas for automation, improvement, efficiency gains.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of equivalent related work experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts, ITIL Foundation Certification a plus
  • Financial Servies experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of imaging technologies including OSD, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SysPrep, Windows PE, Microsoft Autopilot
  • Very high understanding of Microsoft Configuration Manger, knowledge of application deployment, patch management operating system deployment and client and server maintenance
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, InTune and O365 cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with enterprise security products, such as anti-virus, SSO, MFA, DLP and encryption software
  • Experience with managing laptop and desktop workstation hardware, mobile devices, and printers

The annualized base salary for this position is $100,000 - $135,000.

The annualized base salary range represents low and high ends of the base pay range for this position. The specific base salary an employee in this job classification receives depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic work location, prior employment history/experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.

Base pay is just one component of PWP’s total compensation package that may be available to employees. Depending on the position and other factors, other rewards may also include discretionary bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), paid time off, and many other benefits, subject to applicable eligibility criteria and Firm policies.
