Your role.

Position Accountabilities:

ASC 740 Income Tax Provision

  • Compute current and deferred income tax provisions under ASC 740.
  • Perform rate reconciliation, analyze temporary differences, and calculate effective tax rate (ETR).
  • Assist in preparing footnote disclosures for income taxes in financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams for provision reviews.
  • Support return-to-provision adjustments and reconcile tax accounts.
  • Maintain documentation for provision calculations and assumptions.
  • Monitor legislative changes impacting tax provisions.
  • Research and resolve technical issues related to income tax accounting.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff on ASC 740 concepts.

Tax Transaction Reporting and Structuring

  • Assist clients in connection with tax transaction reporting.
  • Serve as a technical tax resource to internal and external clients with respect to emerging issues and general federal tax issues.
  • Work to develop relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Conduct tax research on federal tax issues and prepare client communications, position analyses. external articles, and internal training resources.
  • Review responses to inquiries, notices, and examination reports from the IRS and other tax authorities.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law is required.
  • CA, CPA, or EA is required
  • Must be fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • MS Office experience required.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • 3 + years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting with focus on ASC 740.
  • Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in U.S. tax compliance, consolidated tax returns, partnership returns, S corporation returns, and state/local tax returns.
  • Must be flexible with work hours if required.
  • Presentation Skills, Written Communication, Technical Documentation, Problem Solving, Deadline-Oriented, Process Improvement, and Coordination.

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
