This role leads and scales Business Analytics capabilities that transform business priorities into measurable insights, KPI frameworks, reporting strategies, and data-driven recommendations. The leader will partner with business, technology, data management, governance, and delivery stakeholders to define analytics use cases, enable informed decision-making, and deliver trusted, high-quality data solutions.
Success in this role requires a balance of strong leadership, team-building expertise, and technical business analytics capabilities. The individual will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing Business Analytics team in India, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and delivery excellence while providing technical guidance across analytics and data management initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines business analytics, stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership experience with knowledge of cloud data management platforms supporting data integration, master data management, data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and governance. Experience with platforms such as Informatica IDMC, Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks is highly desirable.
This leader will partner with US leadership to scale the BA Mumbai capability, drive talent development, resource planning, onboarding, and performance management, while ensuring consistent delivery of business outcomes and long-term capability growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analytics Leadership & Capability Development
- Establish and scale the BA Mumbai capability across Business Analytics, Data & AI, cloud data platforms, and data management initiatives.
- Partner with US leadership on India staffing strategy, role profiles, hiring priorities, ramp-up plans, competency mix, resource allocation, and long-term capability planning.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and development of BA resources through onboarding standards, learning plans, knowledge-transfer playbooks, certification programs, mentoring, and performance management support.
- Co-create and execute the onsite/offshore delivery model, including responsibility mapping, intake processes, work package definitions, handoff standards, time-zone coordination, escalation paths, and quality gates.
- Define operating rhythms, communication cadences, status reporting standards, dependency management, ownership models, delivery standards, and collaboration routines between US and India teams.
- Develop demand and capacity forecasting, identify delivery risks early, drive escalations, and continuously improve delivery standards, accelerators, knowledge assets, and repeatable processes.
Data & Analytics Platform Enablement
- Lead Business Analytics discovery, requirements definition, process analysis, KPI design, reporting needs assessment, and analytics roadmap development across enterprise data initiatives.
- Translate business problems into clear analytics, data quality, MDM, data integration, and platform requirements enabled through cloud data management platforms, including Informatica IDMC and modern cloud data ecosystems.
- Partner with solution architects, data engineers, platform leads, and client stakeholders to validate feasibility across cloud data management capabilities, including data cataloging, data quality, data integration, MDM SaaS, automation, and governed data consumption.
- Define business rules, data quality expectations, stewardship workflows, master data use cases, metadata needs, lineage requirements, and reporting consumption patterns to support trusted analytics and decision-making.
- Ensure analytics solutions align to business outcomes, adoption goals, privacy expectations, and measurable value realization.
Analytics Strategy & Business Alignment
- Collaborate with business, technology, data architecture, product, and governance stakeholders to define analytics strategy, operating models, prioritization frameworks, and delivery roadmaps.
- Facilitate workshops to capture business capabilities, pain points, data domains, user journeys, reporting gaps, decision-making needs, and measurable success criteria.
- Support proposal development, solution design, pre-sales activities, executive presentations, proofs of concept, platform assessments, and delivery estimation for analytics and IDMC-enabled data management opportunities.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, onsite/offshore teams, and leadership to ensure analytics programs deliver trusted insights and measurable business value.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Business Analytics, business analysis, data analytics consulting, data governance, MDM, data quality, enterprise reporting, or data platform delivery.
- 7+ years of experience building and leading offshore or distributed teams, including mentoring, talent development, delivery quality, and performance improvement.
- Strong executive-facing communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align business, technology, onsite, offshore, and leadership teams around measurable outcomes.
- Working knowledge of cloud data management platforms for data integration, data quality, metadata, cataloging, lineage, MDM, and governance; Informatica IDMC experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to define analytics requirements, KPIs, reporting needs, user stories, acceptance criteria, data rules, and value-based prioritization frameworks.
- Ability to translate data insights, governance/MDM concepts, platform capabilities, and business needs into practical recommendations and measurable business value.
- Proficiency in SQL, data profiling, data analysis, reporting concepts, dashboard requirements, and translating data patterns into business recommendations.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, lakehouse, data mesh, or data fabric architectures.
- Preferred experience in consulting, advisory, pre-sales, proposal development, platform assessments, proofs of concept, or delivery estimation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Management, or a related discipline.
Preferred Certifications
- Informatica IDMC certifications in MDM SaaS/Customer 360, Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Data Governance and Catalog, Cloud Data Quality, Cloud Application Integration, or related services.
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Data Engineer/Architect certifications.
- Snowflake, Databricks, TOGAF, PMP, Scrum, SAFe, or other architecture or delivery certifications are a plus.
