Corporate & Institutional Banking Development Program Analyst/Associate – Capital Markets

The goal of PNC’s Development Programs is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC’s lines of business.
Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) offers strategic insight and financial solutions for businesses, organizations, municipalities and nonprofits throughout the United States and internationally. The Capital Markets track provides a broad exposure to various business units within C&IB, structured development on-the-job and formal classroom learning including an intensive 8-week credit training program designed to establish PNC’s core competencies. Analysts possess strong problem-solving ability, interest in mastering complex products, a strong work ethic and a highly competitive nature.
The Capital Markets track includes the following business segments:
- Asset & Liability Management segments: Chief Investment Office - Portfolio Management and Hedging and Corporate Treasury
- Capital Markets Group segments: Chief Operating Office/Strategy, Derivatives Products Group, Financial Institutions Group - Banks Division, Financial Institutions Group - Financial Services Division, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, and Structured Products Group
- Investment Banking Analyst: Asset Backed Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Public Finance Capital Markets

The Capital Markets track is an engaging 2-3 year experience especially designed to equip you with the foundational and transferable skills that will enable you to navigate a successful career in banking. Capital Markets analysts master PNC’s product set to excel in analytics, credit, relationship management, sales and financial modeling.
Geographic flexibility is important to your success in this program. Locations may include: Pittsburgh PA; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; and Philadelphia, PA;. Not all segments are available in all locations.
This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
Compensation:
Base Salary - $39,100 - 126,500
Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific role and may vary by geographic location and/or market data.

Job Profile:
Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.
- Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., deal, sales, or process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
- Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).
- Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.
- Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.
Required Education and Experience:
- Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Math, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences).
- Minimum GPA 3.2.
- Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience, but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
