As a Technology Specialist Sr within PNC's Data Center Facilities team, whose primary role is data center infrastructure engineering and planning with internal service partners and enterprise hardware vendors.

This position can be based in Richmond, VA or Ashburn, VA. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday thru Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM EST

Technical Skills Requirements:
· Familiarity with operational support of enterprise data center
· Understanding of data center network, server, and storage hardware
technology
· Understanding of data center rack power and connectivity requirements
· Ability to logically troubleshoot system issues
· Strong communication and analytical skills
· Familiarity with computer operations in a data center production
environment
· Aptitude to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
· Ability to communicate effectively with other areas and provide remote
instructions
· Able to work well under deadlines in pressure situations
· Effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Individual must be able to lift and move approximately 50 lbs.

Job Description

  • Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure. May support analysis and report generation, exception processing and service management. Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.
  • Performs advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services.
  • Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.
  • Drives incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.
  • Develops and maintains technical, operational and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
