The Opportunity

As an Assurance Artificial Intelligence Technology Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to the field of data and analytics engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role provides an opportunity to learn how AI technologies, including machine learning, generative AI, AI agents, AI governance, and AI evaluation, are applied in a professional services environment to support assurance services and client needs.

As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals and support client engagements by participating in project tasks, conducting research, and assisting with technical deliverables. You will be immersed in a collaborative learning environment where you are encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and build foundational technical and professional skills. Through this experience, you will gain insight into PwC’s methodologies, tools, and business context, while developing your personal brand and understanding how AI solutions support broader assurance strategies. This role is designed to provide exposure to real-world applications of AI technology while helping you build a strong foundation for a future career in assurance, data, and analytics.

Responsibilities

- Supporting AI and data analytics projects by assisting with model development, evaluation, and documentation

-Participating in machine learning and generative AI model evaluation activities to support data-driven insights

-Assisting in the assessment of artificial intelligence solutions embedded in existing systems

-Conducting data analysis under guidance to extract insights and support project objectives

-Supporting data quality, integration, and validation efforts to ensure reliable outputs

-Utilizing programming languages such as Python and Java to assist with data pipelines and AI-related tasks

-Leveraging open-source software and machine learning libraries to support AI development and evaluation efforts

-Conducting research on emerging AI technologies, governance practices, and evaluation techniques

-Assisting client engagement teams by preparing analyses, documentation, and technical materials

-Collaborating with team members to complete project tasks within defined timelines

-Observing and participating in professional work environments to gain exposure to PwC practices and assurance methodologies

-Contributing to team success by performing assigned tasks and supporting senior team members as needed

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Physics, Computational Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field

-At least a 3.0 overall GPA

-Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student’s final year of school. Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student’s final year of school.

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
